Easter Weekend

Well, it's back to the grind after a wonderful Easter weekend.  On Saturday we went down to Police Point Park for the annual chicks and bunnies event.  The girls especially loved seeing the baby chicks.  Poor little chicks, I'm sure that half of them died after the event from the stress of being handled by so many children!

After we were done playing with the animals, we headed out onto the walking paths and enjoyed the good weather.  I love it that the snow is gone and we don't need jackets, but I'm anxiously awaiting some greenery.  The baby galloped around the park, she doesn't walk or run, only gallops like a horse.  My oldest was convinced that she had come in contact with poison ivy after I read her one of the nature info signs about it and wanted me to give her Benadryl when we got home.

On Sunday we went out to my parent's church for a pancake breakfast and Easter Sunday service, and then out to the farm.  We failed to ask my parents what road we should take, and ended up backtracking because the road was under water.  We drove around a couple of washed out sections and places where the water was lapping up on both sides of the road, right to the edges.  It was crazy, I've never seen anything like it.

I hope you all had a relaxing and meaningful weekend with your families and friends!
