Last night as I was making supper and my kids were watching SpongeBob Squarepants on YTV, a commercial came on for some kind of Bieber related product/appearance. Here is the following conversation:
5-year old, "Is Justin Bieber married?"
Me, "No, he's only 16, that's still a teenager."
5-year old, "Do you think that he would want to marry me?"
Me, "No, you're only 5"
5-year old, with a snotty, angry tone, "Well, when I'm grown up, he can marry anyone he wants!"
That he is 16 and Canadian is the summation of my knowledge on Justin Bieber. I have never heard him sing or seen a music video with him. I do know that he has some kind of movie coming out soon, but I don't care enough about it to google it. I had assumed that my 5-year old wasn't aware of him either, but I guess that was naive of me. Does this mean that I'm going to have a boy-crazy girl on my hands? I guess it runs in the family!
yes Alison. you have a boy-crazy girl on your hands. my mom had one too.
ReplyDeleteits called Beiber FEVER, I've decided because it just can't be helped ... he's a pretty charming young lad.
Yep, sounds like boy-crazy might be!! :) That's such a funny story, Alison. I don't know/care much about him either. The one song I've heard more than once goes, "Baby, baby, baby" over and over and over and over. Pretty deep! :) Hee hee!! My boys hate Justin "Beaver" (they don't call him that to mock him, they think that's his last name - cracks me up!!!!) :)
ReplyDeleteS wanted to buy a book on him through Scholastic and I said no, she could get a different book instead.
